Those Freshman Hornets fought the entire game. The evenly matched squads ended the 1st quarter with Alameda 6 O'Dowd 8.
Several turnovers put the Hornets in the locker room at halftime with a score of Alameda 6 O'Dowd 38.
The Freshman never gave up. That Hornet Pride was in effect and they had a plan. They used strong offense and incredible defense to rally back.
The 3rd quarter closed Alameda 20 O'Dowd 38 from two Hornet touchdowns and a successful 2 point conversion.
The offensive and defensive strength carried into the 4th quarter where a recovered onside kick and a recovered fumble gave the Freshman some extra time of possession, 14 more points, but not enough time on the clock. Final score Alameda 34 O'Dowd 38.
